She is the head of Interventional Radiology Center and a consultant diagnostic radiologist at National Cancer Center Hospital in Japan. She earned her medical degree from Iwate Medical University and later served as an assistant professor. She is a member of Executive Board Committee of the Japanese Society of Interventional Radiology and the chair of Japan Interventional Radiology in Oncology Study Group.
